ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL

From the first door
to the last sign.

A campaign is a lot of moving parts. Keep the people, plans, money and field work pointed in the same direction.

01 / YOUR RACE

One campaign.
Room to get going.

Set up your campaign, bring your team on board and keep the work in one workspace. Start with the tools you need today.

02 / SHARED GROUND

More campaigns.
A coordinated effort.

Assign canvass turfs to one campaign or several. Keep contributions tied to a single campaign and budgets distinct, with a default campaign for coordinated work.

03 / DIFFERENT TEAMS

Separate workspaces.
Clear access.

Manage different organizations or clients with workspace-specific membership. People see the workspaces they’ve been given access to.

WHAT’S IN THE TOOLKIT

01 / FIELD

Put your next conversation on the map.

Plan canvasses, assign turfs, track doors and progress, and take a walk list into the field.

  • County and district filters
  • Team assignments and schedules
  • Walk lists and PDF reports
02 / FUNDS

Know what’s coming in. And going out.

Keep each campaign’s budget, expenses, contributions and fundraising goals together. Coordinated work can have its own budget.

  • Campaign-specific contributions
  • Goals, pledges and received funds
  • Detailed budget reports and graphs

Track contributions and spending here. Payment processing and automatic compliance filing are not part of the current toolkit.

03 / PEOPLE

Remember the people behind the work.

Keep volunteers, staff, donors and general contacts connected to the work they support, with notes and history that stay useful.

  • Contact import and role labels
  • Volunteer shifts and follow-ups
  • Links to Field and Sign assignments
04 / SIGNS

Keep track of every sign along the way.

Map placements, keep photos and property details, and plan your next delivery or retrieval.

  • Public and private placements
  • Campaign and sign-type filters
  • Inventory and retrieval planning

WHEN THE ROAD LOSES SIGNAL

The work doesn’t
have to stop.

Open your workspace online so the app can save an authorized offline copy. Keep working with your saved information and drafts. When you’re connected again, choose Sync changes to update shared records.

Offline access is time-limited. Some actions need a connection; the app shows what is saved, pending or needs attention.

BEYOND ELECTION NIGHT

Keep the story.
Start the next chapter.

Save a cycle snapshot and reports, export your contacts, and preserve the history behind the work. When an authorized owner or admin resets a cycle, the precinct master and workspace identity stay in place.

Former volunteer, staff and donor roles can stay with the contact as historical tags. You don’t have to rebuild every relationship from scratch.

A FEW THINGS YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING

Before you come aboard.

Can I use it without a spreadsheet?

Yes. The current app and web app use their own workspace database. You don’t need a spreadsheet running in the background.

Does it work on Apple devices?

The web app is the current option for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Android testers can use the development installer. A public app-store release has not launched yet.

Who decides who can see our work?

Workspace owners and admins manage their team’s access. Editors can be given selected tools. Verified Guests have view-only access to their permitted workspace. The public Demo View uses sample information.

Is it ready for a public launch?

CivicOutrigger is in active development with invited testing. Features and testing terms may change. Get in touch to discuss a demo and whether testing makes sense for your campaign.

What does it cost?

Public pricing has not been announced. Tell Rory about your team, campaigns and timing so you can discuss what access would involve.
